Rehabilitation after illness or injury can take just a few days — or many months. Most of the patients we see at Cedar Lane go home in a matter of weeks.
Whether a resident is with us for few days or for much longer, the goal is still the same: to provide effective rehabilitative services to restore as much functioning and independence as possible.

care and therapy services. The goal of
our respiratory services department is
to help people with breathing
problems overcome their limitations -
or learn to manage them comfortably
and easily.
Ventilator rehabilitation is sometimes needed for problems caused by respiratory or cardiac disease. We offer an active ventilator- weaning program for these individuals. Our expert nursing staff and respiratory therapists ensure patients of a comfortable stay during this comprehensive rehabilitation process.
Physical Therapy
Members of our physical
therapy team work on helping our
residents achieve maximum levels of
physical mobility, strength, endurance,
balance, coordination and general
fitness.
Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapy
team focuses on increasing,
enhancing
and adapting each patient’s task
development skills to increase the
level
of independence and autonomy.
Speech and Language
Therapy
Our speech and
language professionals employ a wide
variety of speech and language
techniques to address speech and
communication problems, as well as
cognitive issues. Our speech
therapists
also assist individuals who are
experiencing swallowing difficulties.
